Understanding the Business
Before designing, I look at the business, its audience, offer and communication challenge.
The goal is to establish what the brand needs to communicate and what perception it needs to create.
Developing the Concept
The visual direction starts from the problem the brand needs to solve - not from a predefined style.
I develop the concept around positioning, audience, perception and the role the brand needs to play in its market.
Build the Visual System
The concept is translated into a visual system that can work beyond a single logo.
Identity, typography, colour, imagery, composition and graphic elements are designed to work together and remain recognisable across different applications.
Extend into Communication
The system is then applied where the brand communicates - from marketing materials and campaigns to social media, presentations, digital assets and other relevant touchpoints.
The objective is not simply consistency for its own sake, but a clear visual language that supports the way the business communicates.
